WHY:
Two and a half years ago, Nashville singer/songwriter Regie Hamm’s daughter, Isabella, was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome.  Since then Regie and his wife have worked to learn more and meet other people involved with similar situations.  On October 23rd Regie will be holding the second annual “Bella Bash” (named in honor of his daughter Isabella) at 3rd and Lindsley.  Regie and other hit artists, songwriters, and special guests will be performing. All proceeds will go to the FAST Foundation (Foundation For Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics) to aid research and support in the quest for a cure.The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics is a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization designated under the Internal Revenue Code.  FAST’s EIN is 26-3160079.

ABOUT ANGELMAN SYNDROME:
FastlogoAngelman Syndrome is a complex genetic disorder that affects the nervous system. Characteristic features of this condition include intellectual and developmental delay, total lack of speech, sleep disorders, unstable jerky gait, seizures, and hand flapping movements.  Angelman Syndrome affects males, females and all racial/ethnic groups equally.  Individuals with Angelman Syndrome require 24/7, full-time care for their entire life. There are estimated to be between 1000 and 5000 cases in the
U.S. and Canada.
